1. Scope of this Policy

This policy explains the privacy principles applied to the Speaklyo website, student panel, memberships, courses, exams, certificates, WooCommerce store, cart, payment and support processes.

2. Information We May Collect

We may collect account and contact information, learning progress data, order and payment status, technical logs, cookie preferences, and information you provide during support requests. Speaklyo does not store full card details. Payments are processed through the secure infrastructure of the selected payment service provider.

3. How We Use Information

• To provide your account and access to learning content.
• To display your current lesson, test results and achievement data.
• To manage orders, payments, invoices, refunds and support processes.
• To protect the security, performance and availability of the service.
• To comply with legal obligations.
• To send product or campaign announcements where you have given consent.

4. Sharing and Third Parties

We do not sell personal data for unauthorized data-trading purposes. Sharing with service providers is limited to what is necessary to provide the service.

5. Account Security

You are responsible for keeping your account password confidential and for reporting unauthorized activity without delay. Speaklyo applies reasonable technical and administrative measures such as access controls, secure connections, updates, backups and logging.

6. Children’s Privacy

The minimum age for the platform is 13. Users under this age should not create an account without the supervision of a parent or legal guardian and any required consent.

7. Rights, Changes and Contact

You can send privacy-related requests to info@speaklyo.com. This policy may be updated when our services, service providers or applicable laws change. Material changes will be communicated through appropriate methods.

8. Mobile App Coverage

This policy also covers the Speaklyo Android and iOS mobile applications and their lesson, exam, game, profile and subscription features. The apps may process name/account information and email address, session and security data, course and lesson progress, quiz results, game progress and XP, learning access rights, and information related to Google Play and Apple App Store subscriptions such as product ID, transaction/order identifier, purchase token or receipt information, status and validity period.

The apps do not request access to the camera, microphone, contacts, SMS or precise location. Text-to-speech features in games may use the device’s speech-generation capability and do not record the user’s voice.

9. Google Play and Apple App Store Payments and Subscriptions

Paid digital subscriptions in the Android and iOS apps are processed through Google Play or the Apple App Store, depending on the device used. Speaklyo does not see or store card numbers, CVV/CVC codes or full card details. Speaklyo only verifies the subscription and transaction information necessary to validate access rights and associate them with the user’s account.

Subscription management and cancellation are handled through the subscription center of the store where the purchase was made. Deleting your Speaklyo account does not automatically cancel an active Google Play or Apple App Store subscription.

10. Sharing, Retention and Deletion

• Google / Google Play and Apple / Apple App Store: app distribution, purchases, subscription processing and verification.
• Authorized technical, legal and financial service providers: only to the extent necessary.
• Authorized public institutions and judicial/administrative authorities: where required by law.

Speaklyo does not sell personal data for advertising or data-trading purposes. When an account deletion request is completed, profile, session, learning progress, test and game data associated with the account are deleted or anonymized, except for records that must be retained by law.

11. Age and Young Users

Speaklyo is a general-purpose language-learning platform intended for users aged 13 and over. Users aged 13–17 may use the platform. Where required by applicable law, parental or legal-guardian consent or verification may be requested.

Speaklyo does not target children under 13, and persons under 13 should not create an account. If we become aware that data relating to a person under 13 has been processed unintentionally, you may contact info@speaklyo.com so that, after appropriate verification, the data can be deleted or other necessary action can be taken.
